“We manufacture Playground Equipment and retail steel in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Prior to engaging DAASS we were lacking good systems to control our manufacturing processes.
The problems were resolved with the introduction of QMS ISO 9001:2008 which established systems to control processes throughout the organisation. At the same time, we set up a Project Management Plan for all of our contracts. Because we derive most of our business through tenders, the effect on our business has been MAJOR. The PMP governs our approach to tendering submissions and presentations.
The whole team has learned much from our weekly meetings with DAASS and the setting of our strategic plan for 2008-2009 is now helping us to focus on growing our business. The certification allowed us to use the 5 ticks symbol for QMS. This has given us considerable prestige when compared to our competition.
Our business has grown year by year despite the economic turmoil."

“Our business was experiencing very tough times and seemed to lack direction. At our initial meeting with David of DAASS, we were shown that our business was suffering from a chronic lack of strategic planning. In short, we had been working IN the business and not ON the business.
We are in the Laser Grading business and work mainly for dairy producers.

“Building and Property Maintenance can be tough & competitive at the best of times and we rely heavily on our approved suppliers to get the jobs done on time and to our pricing expectations.
There was a gap in the systems between us and our subcontractors and we knew that there had to be a better way of coordinating all the stakeholders from within and outside of our operation. In 2006, we gained our QMS ISO 9001:2008 certification and in 2007 we completed our Project Management Plan through DAASS, which covers all our sites.
The PMP has glued our business with our subcontractors and customers on all sites, with the added advantage of conforming to the new OH&S regulations that came into force on July 1, 2005. Our Directors are greatly relieved that we have our OH&S obligations totally under control.
Our weekly meetings with DAASS have enabled us to tender for more and larger projects, as our systems now conform to our customers’ expectations and to regulative requirements. We are now focused on cost control and profit outcomes.. DAASS has been directional and positive to our business future.” |
